Apple business manager
To date, many Estonian companies who use Apple technology have had to solve complicated problems when purchasing applications or automatising the configuration and centralised software installation of Apple devices. This is no longer an issue. The Apple Business Manager service is now also available to Estonian companies and organisations.
Apple Business Manager is a tool that is available through secure online means and is designed for companies and organisations who use iPhones, iPads, Mac computers and Apple's telecommunication devices. Companies' IT administrations can use it to access organisations' internal systems, deploy content, buy a required amount of software licences, create and manage user accounts and access rights assigned thereto in one portal.
Apple's new business service is compatible with third-party Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions even if the company uses different solutions for managing computers and mobile devices. Companies can use Apple Business Manager with both newly acquired Apple devices and those bought earlier (from 1 March 2011 onwards).
Apple ID for business is designed for companies. This eliminates the risk of IT managers leaving the company with the company's system rights and purchased applications linked to their personal Apple ID.
Once a company receives Apple devices they ordered, users can install them independently without the immediate involvement of the IT department. Mac users can simply turn on their computer, select a suitable system language and keyboard type and connect it to the Wi-Fi network. Once these simple steps, which can be learned by even the most inexperienced users, have been taken, the software designed for the whole device is automatically installed in the computer. The combination of Apple Business Manager and MDM allows your company's Apple devices to be configured more quickly and IT department employees do not have to install the system and the required software for each computer user individually. In addition to managing the company's devices centrally and creating an inventory thereof, Apple's business solution creates the opportunity to optimise the IT department's work and related costs.

In order to use the service, customers must sign up for an Apple Business account on Apple's website. The programme applies to devices purchased for companies from 2011 onwards. You can add only devices that have been bought from Valge Klaar to the programme.
